Cookhill Parish Council welcomes applications for the Clerk & RFO post

WOULD LIKE TO WORK FOR COOKHILL PARISH COUNCIL?

COOKHILL PARISH COUNCIL IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF CLERK & RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

The successful applicant will be required to work from home for an average 15 hours per week and be paid according the NALC’s recommended pay scale (starting at SCP26 £11.89 per hour subject to experience and qualifications).

The Parish Council usually meets 11 times a year in the evenings and also employs the services of a Lengthsman. The successful applicant will be required to attend the meetings and will be responsible for all administrative tasks for the Parish Council, including but not limited to, preparing minutes and agenda, dealing with correspondence; advising the Parish Council on procedures and monitor the policies of the Council. Also to manage the accounts and prepare records for audit purposes, and to issue tenancy agreements and receive payments relating to the Parish allotments. The Clerk and RFO’s job is busy and varied. Applicants should be flexible in their approach to work and be computer literate. Previous experience would be a definite advantage and ongoing training will be provided.
