The Superfast Worcestershire Programme in Cookhill Information Page

Residents in Cookhill are poised in eager anticipation about new improved broadband speeds in the Parish as part of roll out of fibre broadband through the Superfast Worcestershire programme. This page is to help you understand more about the programme and how you can access the improved facilities.

Robert Stepniewski, Project Manager for the programme attended the Cookhill Parish Council meeting on 11 November 2015 to give an update on the project and answer questions. We had a good turn out from residents, who attended to listen to Robert speak.

You can see the slides presented at the meeting here: Superfast Worcs Slides – November 2015.

To find out more, go to the ‘When and Where’ page at and check which cabinet your property will be connected to.

You can then see the status of that cabinet at

If the cabinet is already ‘live’ you can start to research suitable providers and check out the ‘How to order’ guide at

An important note – access to the fibre broadband is not free or automatic. To access the new faster fibre broadband you will need to sign up to a fibre broadband plan – you may wish to do this through your existing broadband provider, or shop round to find a better deal.

A good place to compare the cost of broadband packages is via a comparison website, such as Remember to check what the cost of the package will be after any introductory discounts have ended.

Lastly, the Superfast Worcesetershire team are looking for willing businesses, residents or community groups that are happy to be used as case studies – these will be shared online, distributed to the programme’s newsletter subscribers and shared on social media. Examples of current case studies are available here:
