The Grand Opening of the Cookhill Parish Playing Fields!

Following the installation of the new children’s play equipment from Wicksteed at the Playing Fields the Parish Council welcomed members of Wychavon District Council to the official opening on Tuesday 29th November. Chairman Councillor, Mrs Frances Smith was in attendance and even tried her hand at the popular adult’s exercise equipment, installed earlier this year by Fresh-Air Fitness! Thankfully the sun was shining and children from Tiny Tribes Nursery joined councillors and parishioners to try out the new play equipment.

The Parish Council was awarded two sets of funding from Wychavon District Council earlier this year via the New Homes Bonus Scheme and the Section 106 Fund enabling us to significantly update the equipment already on offer. The feedback from residents has been extremely positive with walkers making it a part of their route and stopping to make use of the new facilities.

The Parish Council would like to thank Wychavon for making the transformation a reality.
